Aliens? On Thanksgiving?
On our annual after dinner Thanksgiving walk we ran into this:
What it is we are not sure. Is it an alien that went off course and hit the tree and stuck there? Is it some mutant spider that died there and became part of the tree? Is it a huge bat that had a bad radar day? Were not sure....I think its an alien!!
Whatever it is it sure didn't stop the weekend from being a great Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was perfect. The company was better. And the food was awesome. Of course we had two family dinners to attend and what great meals. I know...life is tough but somebody has to do it.
Another event that happened is that we had friends from Prince George, BC come and stay with us. It was Dawn and Kim's 25th high school reunion. Fortunately, Kim's husband Kevin could come. It was a good reunion and we met some of their old friends.
Here are a couple of shots from out at the farm during our annual after dinner walk:

What did you do for this Thanksgiving weekend?

Yeah, I remember you mentioning your 2 dinners last year. Pretty sweet deal!
Down here, we forced some time into the day to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a regular day at work except the 2 1/2 hours we set aside to eat roast chicken, yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Quite different fare from the usual tortillas, beans and salsa. Very enjoyable. Amber has some pics on her blog.
I am glad you had a great time....Any football with those aliens?
Blu~: Yes...CFL Football. Unfortunately our Eskimos fell short...again. :-(
You win it all one year and the next year they may not make the playoffs. Oh well...they still have a chance as the Saskatchewan Roughriders have lost their starting quarterback and their backup. They are down to the 3rd stringer. Can only hope they choke like they do most years.
Sounds like a great time. Those hay bales look like a blast. Great pictures.
It's thanksgiving? I missed the turkey?
Sorry Cibby...you missed Turkey Day!! And it was darn good too. We had smoked turkey and roasted turkey. It was yummy!! Don't they have Thanksgiving down under?
Well at least the Aliens did not abduct you. :) Thank you for dropping by rosedesrochers.net
